Trigger Point Therapy
is a massage therapy technique that uses direct and high pressure to specific knots within your muscle tissue to release stiffness and tightness. Trigger points might feel like sharp spasms or dull generalized aches, can occur anywhere in the body, and are very common.
What to expect:
When a trigger point is located, your therapist will apply direct pressure with their fingertips, and/or elbows to aid the trigger point in releasing and softening. Your therapist may also stretch the affected areas through a complete range of motion to reduce overall pain and tightness. Communication is key with trigger point therapy to make sure the pressure is comfortable.
