Traditional Thai
Traditional Thai massage
is an ancient healing practice that involves active movement and stretching of your limbs and muscles. During a traditional Thai massage your therapist will slowly and gently move your body through multiple stretches, using the weight and pressure of their body to assist you. Both table Thai and traditional Thai massage can be deeply relaxing and tension-relieving with mindful movements that help increase your range of motion through the unique blend of assisted stretching, breath work, and massage.
What to expect:
You will come to your massage dressed in comfortable, loose clothing. Your therapist will have you lie down on a Thai mat on the floor to begin your massage. Your therapist will then slowly move your body through multiple stretches, communicating with you during your massage as needed, and may ask you to breathe on certain cues to deepen stretches. Your therapist will use their hands, thumbs, elbows, and knees to stretch, pull, and rock different parts of your body.
