Lomi Lomi
is a Polynesian method of kneading massage, but with overtones of the indigenous religious beliefs. The word lomi comes from the Hawaiian and Samoan languages and essentially means to knead/shift/rug/soothe. Lomi Lomi massage has gained popularly and evolved over many many years around the world and has now taken various forms of practice.
Lomi Lomi massage involves long, seamless strokes applied with a smooth flow to mimic ocean waves. These rhythmic, repetitive motions are deeply relaxing and healing. The theory behind Lomi Lomi is to connect the mind and body for optimal healing potential.
What to expect:
Ryan is certified in Sacred Lomi (Temple Style) which uses primarily forearm runs and integrating movements that are circles and figure eights. Limited draping allows the practitioner to conduct these runs along the full length of the body. The movements are designed to confuse the thinking mind and invite the client to surrender, letting go of anything that is no longer serving them and to receive more of their soul energy.
